BRAND NEW IBM grand piano w/G5 mac, must plug and unplug to take home grand piano work after computer sleeps.?

NEW grand piano, the USB hub is fine with everything else surrounded by the same USB slot, it have something to do with sleep and the baby grand stops working. I just plug and unplug and adjectives is fine again. No shorts at all. Any thinking?

I thought these were incompatible. The upright you need costs a great deal more. My information is old.
