Windows XP license is solely good for one computer. You will inevitability to buy another copy or a different license key.
should work
I desire it was that unproblematic. You cannot do that because when you receive the computer, it comes preinstalled and cannot be changed or copied. With each computer, you will hold to register and set up the windows software so that you can lone use that software on that computer. Any other way is unendorsed. Although you can't copy windows xp, you can copy games. Go to your local tricky drive, then program files, and the games. Hope this help.
With a lot of work you can, but why would you? Your best bet is to lately get windowsXP professional and basically reformat the HP and start fresh. No need to copy it, simply get the program and install it. While you're at it you might as in good health... get VISTA!
You can't copy an operating system from one computer to another. There are secret files and all that that can't be copied. You hold to install from the installation disk. Sometimes you can use the same disk by calling Microsoft and relating them what you are doing. They will probably ask if you are uninstalling it from the Compaq. If so, they will give you a brand new keycode (assuming you are the registered owner of the installation disk).
