Can 2 moral desktops be associated together to engineer 1 great desktop?

I enjoy 2 desktops and I want to link them to run simultaniously and share eachothers workload contained by an intelligent manner. I do not want to use an A-B switch. For example...If desktop 1 is running a couple applications and computer 2's is not, computer 2 would use its unused memory and/or processing power to relieve out desktop one and visa versa. Theoretically possible, but not contained by practical terms next to 2 PCs. Load sharing like this tend to only be done on colossal scale systems and is more recurrently done when a task is required, not mid charge, so if 1 machine have a lower job loading, when a unsullied assignment of required processing is assigned iot goes to appliance with lowest current nouns, much like behind the times mainframe systems did.
i am pretty sure theres a way but you would want to rig it where the two turn on at equal time and connect the ram and firm drive and hard ware together...Just some more wireing and it should work
