Hello near,

Windows 98 should see the new hardware on the computer #2 and prompt you to any put in the 98 cd or direct it to where on earth the drivers are for the new hardware.

If you do not enjoy the 98 cd, I would not suggest that you do this as you might need to aquire the drivers for the modern hardware that 98 will find.
If the new computer's sond card and other hardware hold drivers built into the Win 98 they should be found and automatically loaded. if not you can scrabble the iNet for the correct drivers. Sometimes the new motherboard can bequeath you problems, there are specific drivers for some of the internal workings on it.
Yes you can verbs hard drives from one PC to another provided that the second PC any doesn't have a primary complex drive (normally the C: drive) already installed or the second PC's installed hard drive is completely not taken of any operating system.

You can have two operating systems, but it can be for a time confusing and Microsoft has stopped offering support for Win 98.

You will own to also install the corresponding drivers for your optical drive, sound card, etc after installing the other concrete drive. But you should have the discs that enjoy that information or you can download them from the manufacturers site.

Good luck.
Hi, if the tentative computer differs from the old one, consequently it won't work ! they should be identical so that the drivers of respectively device will make a conflict.
