Can I use my aged cpu on a foreign Mother Board ?

Use my Northwood Pentium 4C HT 2.6 ghz processor on a clean Motherboard, im about to upgrade my Mother Board near the same travel case.. , i read the specifications and it said it supports pentium and Hyper Threading.

look for a socket 478 motherboard that supports pentium 4 w/ HT
if the CPU socket on the mobo is compatible beside the number of pins in the CPU after it might work.
It depends on the type of motherboard you want to buy. If the processor is a socket 747, you must buy a Motherboard which supports socket 747 processors. Most of the new motherboards supports socket 747 and upwards.
Only if its compatable next to the new mobo. No it won't you own socket 478 and the new mobo is socket 775.
