Anways im thinking of getting alienware for $3,600 yes twice as my mac which is $6k plus which includes 23 inch monitor. heres the spec that i configure for alienware
2.6ghz duo near 4GB of ram
3x 500 not easy drive ( 1 for scratchdisk, 1 for storage)
nvidia 8800 gts
24 inch monitor
by the way im simply going to run Photoshop CS, Illustrator, Indesign. Most of the time im designing bilboards which is about 29x15 inches on 300 dpi. and some brochures. Anyays will these specs do its living? Also i love playing BF2 :D
Alienware for Graphic Design?
The chip seems small. Even tho it's duo, doesn't necessarily imply that the Adobe software will take good thing of both chips at the same time.
You could spend partly of the 3600 and still buy you plenty to run Photoshop and play BF 2 with room to spare. 3600 will buy you two nice computers that will do adjectives of the above.
Alienware rocks but in alot of cases it's resembling buying a helicopter when you only have need of a ladder.
Alienware machines are specified as being excellent gaming machines and what else uses graphics as much as games do? Yes, and Alienware piece of equipment would probably serve you quite powerfully.
